Défilé is a runway walk coaching app. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and the controls you have. We keep it short because the app collects very little.
Défilé is operated by Vlad Purza, Romania, who is the controller of your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: support.defile@gmail.com.
Recordings and clips you choose from your photo library are analysed on your device using Google ML Kit. The video itself is never uploaded and never kept: the app deletes its copy of the clip as soon as the analysis finishes (your original stays in your photo library). The camera records without sound. No photos, video frames or audio ever leave your phone.
To generate coaching, the app sends our backend a small set of numbers derived from your clip:
Joint positions describe posture and movement only. We do not use them, or any other data, to identify you biometrically.
That is the full extent of it. Every record is private to your account and protected by row-level security in our database. Some settings (such as units and reminder time) are saved only on your device.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. The AI-written coaching is informational only.
Only you. The database enforces that you can read and write your own data and that no other user can reach it.
We use Supabase to host your account and session data, and Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In for authentication. Account emails (confirmation and password reset) are sent through Google’s email service. Daily reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled on your device and involve no server. These providers process your data only to deliver these services. We do not use any advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
To turn your walk into written coaching, our backend forwards the data described in “What is sent when you analyse a walk” to OpenAI, the provider of the AI model (GPT) that writes your feedback. Only these numbers are sent — never your video, photos, name or email. OpenAI processes this data solely to return the coaching text and, under its API terms, does not use it to train its models. OpenAI keeps a copy of what is sent for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted, unless a longer period is required by law.
OpenAI processes data on servers in the United States, and our other providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in that provider’s data processing agreement, or by an adequacy decision such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
If you sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address; Apple then provides us a private relay address. We treat it the same as any other account email.
We keep your account, profile and sessions until you delete them. The daily analysis count is overwritten each day. When you delete your account, everything is removed from our live database immediately; residual copies in our hosting provider’s routine backups are overwritten within about 7 days.
You can sign out at any time. To erase your account and every piece of data we hold — permanently — use Delete account in Profile in the app. This deletes your authentication record, profile, and all session data immediately.
Under the GDPR you also have the right to access your data, have it corrected, erased or exported (portability), to restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Romania this is the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP).
Défilé is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to use it, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
